Our fearless leader - Fynn, being a good boy posing for the camera while we work on the website!

If you've been wondering why the sawdust settled a little slower than usual this weekend — it's because while the shop was quiet, the website was anything but. We put in a serious push on the Wix build, and I am genuinely fired up about how much ground got covered between Friday and today. Here's the recap.

The headline: 164 products are LIVE

Let that sink in for a second. 164 products, fully migrated onto Wix Catalog V3, live on fynnswood.com right now — with real names, real categories, real pricing, and 661 product-to-category assignments sorted so customers can actually find what they're looking for. This is the foundation everything else this weekend got built on top of, and it's done.

Every product got the full treatment

This wasn't just "upload and hope." Every single one of those 164 products now has:

  • Its own Specifications section — capacity, dimensions, material, finish, weight, sourced straight from our vendor data. No guessing, no placeholder numbers.

  • Care instructions across ten different material categories — drinkware, wood, blades, leatherette, genuine leather, headwear, slate, brass, whiskey stones, you name it.

  • Personalization, Shipping, and Returns info baked into every listing, consistent from page to page.

  • Common Questions sections on all 79 of our Hero products — the FAQ-style answers customers actually want before they buy.

And when we found six products carrying copy-pasted, un-differentiated descriptions from a sibling product, we caught it, rewrote every one with the real distinguishing details, and verified it live. Sharp eyes, clean copy.

The unglamorous SEO plumbing (that actually matters a ton)

This is the stuff nobody sees but everybody benefits from:

  • Product structured data got a full rebuild. Google now sees accurate return policy, shipping details, item condition, and price-valid-through dates on every product page.

  • Organization and FAQPage markup went live on the homepage, and a real breadcrumb trail now shows up across our top-level and collection category pages.

  • We ran Google's actual Rich Results Test against a live product page — and confirmed the fix works. Our structured data block is coming back clean.

  • Robots.txt and llms.txt — both verified live and correctly configured, including AI-agent discoverability. No crawler landmines.

Shipping got real numbers

Four delivery profiles are built and assigned across all 164 live products — Standard, Oversize, Heavy, and yes, a dedicated tier for the 36" Fireman Axe, because that thing needed its own rules. Every product now ships at the right rate.

We stress-tested our own storefront credibility

Ran a full Google Merchant Center readiness review against the live site — the kind of audit that catches the stuff a customer notices even if they can't quite name it. Good news: SSL, pricing transparency, return policy, and shipping disclosure are all in solid shape. It also surfaced a short, fixable punch list (more on that below).

And a full Terms of Service, drafted top to bottom

Custom-built for a laser-engraving and multi-marketplace business — covering proofs, artwork ownership, turnaround times, and how our own site's terms interact with Etsy, Square, TikTok, and Snapchat's rules. Ready for a quick review pass before it goes live.

What's coming this week

We're not slowing down. Here's what's on deck:

  • Publishing the Terms of Service page and linking it in the footer alongside our other policies.

  • Cleaning up that one leftover placeholder page the Merchant Center review flagged, plus pointing our footer social icons at our actual profiles instead of dead links.

  • Nailing down our business address situation for Merchant Center verification.

  • Installing a reviews app so customer reviews start showing up in our structured data — the last missing piece Google's test flagged.

  • Setting up free shipping over $75 and figuring out the cleanest way to handle that axe's special carrier rate.

  • Verifying Search Console and Bing Webmaster now that the site's fully live.

  • Connecting Google Merchant Center, Meta, and TikTok product feeds — this is the big one, this is where the products actually start showing up in shopping searches.

  • Continuing to chip away at a handful of scoping decisions on deeper description-copy and category-FAQ work.

It's been a genuinely big few days for this shop's online presence. Thanks for following along — more soon.
