The slate plaque with wood easel and the rectangle with a stand do the same job on a desk, shelf or mantel, and are easier to give because the recipient doesn't have to drill anything. All take a longer inscription than most pieces in the shop — a name, dates and a few lines. Prices run $18.99 to $26.99.

Slate is brittle and will chip if dropped on a hard floor — handle it as you would a ceramic plate. Allow 7–10 business days from proof approval.
